When is Word Alive 2019?
Word Alive takes place from Saturday 13th April until Thursday 18th April.

How can I cancel my booking?

What time is check in?
Normal check-in is from 4pm, but if you are in Club accommodation, or are part of a group booking of 3 or more chalets, you can check in from 2pm.
Do I need to purchase an event pass?
If you are staying on site, event passes are included in your accommodation. For example, a 4 berth chalet will receive 4 event passes. If you are staying off site, you will need to purchase event passes in order to be able to attend Word Alive.

When do event passes go on sale and how can I purchase them?
Event passes go on sale from the 30th August, you can purchase them on our website or over the phone 0207 407 5863.
How much is an event pass?
Standard rates: Adult £150, Child £75
Concessions: 50% discounted event pass for students, OAPS, low income families, full time Christian or church ministry workers and their families.

What group should my child attend?
We provide teaching and activities for children from the age of 3 months up until 18 years old. See below for our suggested age and group table:

What time are the children’s activities during Word Alive?
Groups and provisional timings below:
Scramblers: 9.45am-11am OR 11.30am-12.45pm and 2pm-3.15pm
Heroes: 9.45am-12.45pm and 6.30pm-8pm
Ignite: 9.45am-12.45pm and 6.30pm-8pm
Resolved: 9.45am-12.45pm and 6.30pm-8pm
How much are meal tickets?
Pontins charge £15/day for each person (over 14s) or £7.50/day for a child (aged between 3 and 13). Under 3s are free. If you purchase meal tickets in advance, you will be charged £75/adult or £37.50/child extra for the whole event. Please note that breakfast and evening meal is provided including the evening meal on the day of arrival and breakfast on the day of departure in the on site Beachcomber Diner.
How can I purchase meal tickets?
If you are staying on site, you can add half board meal tickets to your order by logging into the website, going to ‘account’, ‘order history’ and ‘edit booking details’. You can adjust this up until final payment on the 30th January. If you want to add meal tickets to your order after this date, you can do so by ringing the office.
If you are staying off site, unfortunately it isn’t possible to book meal tickets in advance. Subject to availability, you may be able to purchase meal tickets on arrival at the Pontins reception.
What are the other food options?
On site, there are several shops and restaurants including the Queen Vic Pub, Captains Cods Fish & Chips, the Beachcomber Diner, Nisa mini supermarket, Java Coffee Shop and a variety of food vans. In Prestatyn, there are several supermarkets, including a Tesco Superstore, SPAR and Aldi, as well as many local coffee shops and restaurants.
What is provided in the on site accommodation?
Pontins chalets provide duvet and pillows, but no bed linen, so please bring your own sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases. There are limited coat hangers in the bedroom wardrobes.
In the kitchen: toaster, microwave, kettle, electric oven, grill and hob, fridge, basic crockery and cutlery, basic pans and Pyrex dishes for microwave
What should I bring to Word Alive?
Please bring your own bed linen, towels, bath mat and loo roll.
For the kitchen, please bring washing up utensils, tea towels, bin liners, sharp knife, peeler, oven gloves.
For the event, bring warm and waterproof clothing as it can be chilly in April
There is a swimming pool on site and a beach nearby, so bring swimming costumes and beach equipment.
Bring your Bible, notebook and pen!
Do I need to bring my own bed linen?
Yes! Different from previous events, Pontins no longer provides bed linen for guests, so please do bring your own sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases. Bedding layouts can be found on your email receipt or in your ‘order history’ on the website.
