Central aspects of the nature of the Church
Bruce Ware
Just what are the central and essential elements that make up the Church of Jesus Christ? We'll consider these to see more clearly what any church, every church, needs to embrace.
-
Our identity as Christ's followers
Bruce Ware
We consider here who we are as the membership of Christ's Church. As those who are, by faith, united with Christ, we desperately need to understand our true identity as Christians to see how we are to live, both within and without the church.
-
Our reconciliation with God and with one another
Bruce Ware
The Mission of the church involves both vertical and horizontal reconciliation - calling sinners to repent, believe, and be reconciled to their glorious Creator God, and calling believers to unite in love with our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.
-
Our service toward one another
Bruce Ware
The "one anothers" of Scripture call all of us to see our need for each other in Christ, and to commit to use our gifts to benefit the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Being one body in Christ helps us see how much we need one another.

The Means
Becky Pippert
"How can I possibly share my faith when I'm not an evangelist nor an extrovert?" Yet the Great Commission wasn't given only for clergy, extroverts and gifted evangelists. In fact, Jesus says our inadequacy is compulsory! Learn how God has given Christians everything we need to be effective in witness - including the shy and non-evangelists.
-
The Model
Becky Pippert
"I believe the gospel is true, but we live in a secular culture that insists the only absolute truth is that there are no absolutes! Anyone who thinks otherwise is considered arrogant." How then, in today's culture, can we help skeptics understand the beauty of the gospel and how it meets our deepest yearnings and answers our deepest questions?
-
The Message
Becky Pippert
"I have no idea how to even raise the topic of faith! How can I share my faith in a way that doesn't feel manipulative or sound rehearsed?" We will look at how the love of Christ influences every aspect of how we relate to people and explore ways to raise the topic of faith and engage in meaningful spiritual discussions, naturally.
-
The Method
Becky Pippert
We will explore how to rouse curiosity in skeptics so they will be interested in considering Jesus. And we'll look at effective tools to introduce skeptics to the irresistible Jesus.
