low income discounts
We are delighted to offer the following discounts to low-income families, when the main income earner receives:
- Universal Credit
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Certain types of housing benefit, or
- has a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate.
On site accommodation
We offer a bursary towards staying on site at Word Alive. The bursary is £100 for each person attending Word Alive who is dependent on that low income, up to a maximum of £500. For example, a qualifying couple with two children would get a £400 reduction on their accommodation cost.
When you book you will have the option to choose ‘low income bursary’. You will then need to state the type of support or allowance you receive, of which you will need to send us proof. You will also need to fill in how many dependents are attending, for the cost of your unit to be reduced accordingly. Please note that the bursary is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that we are unable to offer reduced price half board meals.
Half price event passes are available for low-income families staying off site. Under ‘concessions’ select ‘low income’. Then tick the box to confirm you are in receipt of a qualifying benefit, of which you will then need to send us proof.
Once you have placed your booking, please email a photo/scan or screenshot of a letter or other documentation showing that you are in receipt of a qualifying benefit. This should clearly show your name and address and the date. For Universal Credit you can send a screenshot showing the details of your most recent payment from your account on the gov.uk website.
